    Executive Pastor
  • Job Description:

    The Executive Pastor will have responsibility for day-to-day operations of Calvary Church as delegated by the Lead Pastor. He will serve as the primary connection between the Senior Pastor and the core ministries of Calvary Church. The Executive Pastor will oversee procedures, policies of the church, as well as providing leadership training and teaching for the church. This leadership will come from:

    • A personal commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
    • A mature faith and steadfast character.
    • A reliance on the authority of Scripture and prayer.
    • A sense of calling to an “equipping of the saints.”


    • Support the Lead Pastor in the accomplishment of the church’s mission through ministry effectiveness, evaluation, discernment, decision making, planning, and overall direction of church staff.
    • Lead, support, and empower the staff in the establishment and ongoing direction of ministries that effectively reach the community, insuring the accomplishment of the church’s mission. 
    • Champion the development of infrastructure and systems by all ministry and support areas that supports healthy, long-term growth of the church and can be clearly understood by staff.
    • With the Lead Pastor facilitate strategic planning processes including evaluation of ministry performance, review of mission, vision and core values, and development of key short and long term objectives and tactics.
    • Participation in the leadership of Calvary Church by serving on key teams such as the Ministry Elders and Calvary Leadership Team.
    • Ability to serve as a member of the pastoral staff preaching 6-8 times a year, visiting with members of the congregation to provide guidance and support as needed and officiating wedding and funerals as assigned. 
    • Other duties as assigned and developed in the life of the church.


    • Gives evidence of a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ; demonstrating the biblical qualities of I Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9 and I Peter 5:1-5 with integrity, humility, responsibility, teachability and servanthood as a gracious and loving pastor
    • Commitment to Reformed theology
    • Believes, accepts and supports Calvary’s Mission
    • Demonstrated executive level experience leading a growing organization/ staff. 
    • M-DIV/ Commissioned Pastor or Marketplace Minister with equivalent theological education or calling

    You will be accountable to the:

    • Calvary Leadership Team of Calvary Church  
    • Lead Pastor
    • Central California Classis 


    • Compensation  includes  salary,  housing  allowance,  family  medical  insurance,  retirement  annuity contributions, Governing Board approved study leave and ministry-related expenses
    • Four weeks of Vacation
    • The Executive Pastor’s salary is commensurate with experience and the surrounding community. 
    • Relocation package provided

    Connections Coordinator
  • Connections Coordinator Job Description

    The Connections Coordinator (C.C) at Calvary Church is to be a networking leader whose responsibilities include equipping and connecting people into community.
    This person will champion our passion statement of: “One Community/ One Connection”  
    Our firm commitment that every person who calls Calvary home will have a place outside of Sunday to connect, grow, and serve
    The focus of this position will be two-fold: Small groups and MOPS
     Our next Connections Coordinator will have to have a huge heart and passion to see people connected into small community
    • Championing the small group vision by identifying and training leaders, organizing groups, and maintaining a group calendar that the congregation of Calvary can access and engage
    • Keeping communication with small group leaders as needed
    • Holding bi-annual small group leaders training
    • Working with the Lead Pastor to plan “on ramp” events in the life of the church to get people connected into small community throughout the year  
    • Evaluate and approve study material in conjunction with the Lead Pastor
    •  Develop a tracking system to monitor ongoing small groups to ensure they are growing and healthy
    • Plan and organize group options on Wednesday Night ensuring there are multiple connection places happening here on campus
    • Thrive in an “upfront” role, sharing the vision and opportunities available via video and live on Sunday morning
    Our next Connections Coordinator will also have a huge heart for Moms as they oversee the ministry of MOPS
    MOPS is a ministry that meets the needs of Mothers of Preschoolers through community, connection, care, and ultimately Christ
    • Work with our existing MOPS leadership team providing staff support and connection to the whole of Calvary Church.
    • Oversee the MOPS budget and provide financial wisdom to the MOPS leadership team
    • Assist the lay leadership in coordinating events and activities
    • Take the point on promotion; helping this ministry reach moms all over the Central Valley
    • Attend the monthly MOPS leadership team huddle
    • Work tirelessly to see young mothers and families connect into God’s story at Calvary
     - Exceptional administrative/organizational abilities

    - Passion for ministering to others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, ensuring their growth and development into fully-devoted followers of Christ

     - Support the church leadership and staff.
    Time Commitment: 10-15 hours a week
