Irene's Original Work
Seminary students at a seminar on Jesus in the Psalms

First, thank you so much for praying with us as Colombia voted on a peace deal between the government and the FARC guerillas. We were all feeling bewildered and shocked this morning at the news that voters narrowly rejected the peace deal. You can read more here, but...

...we praise God that voting was peaceful and all sides of the conflict seem willing to continue negotiations for peace;

...and we praise God for the churches in Colombia and pray that they might be beacons of peace in their communities.

Meanwhile, during September two different seminars here at the Seminary helped students and pastors from all over Colombia learn to see Jesus in the Psalms and preach transformative sermons.

October is proving to be just as full. Andrew is continuing to teach Old Testament, and has added a Saturday class on Pastoral Theology.  His students in the new class are mostly lay leaders from local churches who are taught through the extension programs of the Seminary. He will also travel at the end of the month to give a seminar on the Reformation in Bogotá.

Amy is enjoying cataloging in the library on the afternoons that we have care for Irene.

Please pray with us as our work continues to grow in the Seminary that we will find healthy rhythms of work and rest.

We praise God for you!
Peace,
Amy, Andrew and Irene Fields
